Quick answers about personal data on aeropuertofuerteventura.com, written in line with the GDPR (EU 2016/679) and Spain’s LOPDGDD (Organic Law 3/2018).

Whose site is this? David Franco Aguirre’s. He publishes it as GoRandom and is the data controller. You can reach him at [email protected].

Is anything recorded just because I visit? Yes, the bare minimum: your IP, browser and the page you open end up in the logs of the server and of Cloudflare, which filters out malicious traffic. That rests on legitimate interest — keeping the site up and unhacked — and the logs rotate and delete themselves.

What happens if I accept statistics? Google Analytics 4 switches on and notes which pages you view, for how long, on what kind of device and from roughly which region. It doesn’t store your IP. We look at it as a whole to see which parts of the Fuerteventura guide are working. Basis: your consent. Retention: 14 months in Analytics.

And if I refuse, or don’t answer? No Google cookie is created. At most the page sends a signal with no cookies or identifier, part of Google’s Consent Mode, good only for working out rough totals.

What do you do with what I write to you? Read it and reply. Your email address and message are used for that, because you chose to send them, and are removed when we’re done.

Does any data leave Europe? The server is in the European Union. If you accept statistics, Google Ireland Limited processes them for us and may move them to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Cloudflare also sees the traffic pass through.

Do you sell data or make people sign up? Neither: no selling, no user accounts, no profiles.

Are there ads? Not today. If there ever were, we’d say so here first and they’d only work with your permission in the «Advertising» category.

How do I take my consent back? Hit «Privacy and cookie settings» at the bottom of any page and change your choice. Anything measured before that remains lawful.

Can I ask for my data, or for it to be deleted? Yes — and to correct it, limit its use, object, or receive it in a portable format. Email [email protected]. If you’re not satisfied, complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your own national regulator.

Is the site meant for children? It isn’t designed for under-14s and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
